No Tropical Storm yet

A cold front from the west is delivering us showers and storms from the west. Finally our lawns will get some water, as it rains most of this afternoon and tonight. Then, the low pressure off the Carolina coast will come NE towards southern New England. It may be named Tropical Storm Bonnie this afternoon. Either way a period of rain and gusty winds are possible along the coast and the Cape-depending on the exact track of the low. I will be visiting my dad in Keene, NH area-where showers may end early this evening. Behind the cold front somewhat drier air will come in. However, it will be hot again early next week.
Alert: Flood Advisory now in effect until 6 PM Saturday.

Boston, MA forecast:

Sunday: A period of rain and wind possible before 9 AM, then slow clearing. Highs around 80. NE wind possibly around 20 MPH early quickly dropping to arorund 10 MPH.

  1. Nolan - Today is Monday and it is decidedly not sunny. I've not seen rain this hard in years! As late as 9:00 this morning, the TV weatherperson assured me that it would be mostly sunny today, with clouds and the potential for rain not arriving until tomorrow afternoon. I say again: the nightly weather forecast should be limited to 10 seconds; long enough to say, "Carry an umbrella, because you never know!" - Ed
