Another Hot week

Today we got a break from the humidity, but it still reached 91 to complete the heatwave. Tomorrow humidity will increase ahead of a weak cold front. The cold front will set off a few showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. A few thunderstorms could be severe. The next system comes through on Tuesday night into Wednesday with more scattered showers.

Boston, MA forecast:

Tonight: Mainly clear with lows near 70 in Boston and 62 in the suburbs.

Monday: A mix of sun and clouds until 3 PM, then severe thunderstorms likely. Humid again with a high of 89. West winds of 15-25 MPH. Some thunderstorms will produce gusty winds of 50 MPH and frequent lightning after 3 PM.

Monday night: Severe thunderstorms possible until 9 PM, then clearing. Humid with lows in the low 70's.

Tuesday: Sunny and still humid. A sea breeze is likely in the afternoon, so highs near 82 at the coast and 88 inland.

Tuesday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely after midnight. Muggy with lows in the 70's.

Wednesday: Showers in the morning, then partly sunny in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 80's.

Thursday: Sunny and less humid. Highs in the mid 80's.

Friday: Sunny, highs in the upper 80's.

Tropics: Watching 2 areas south of Puerto Rico that have a low chance of developing later this week, otherwise very quiet. I expect the tropics will get very active by early August.
