Senior Prom!

Tonight is a great night for my senior prom in Cambridge. I finished my last exam on Thursday, and will be graduating from ACC on Monday, June 14. I will be attending Plymouth State University in the fall and majoring in Meteorology. This weekend is their orientation, and we will be driving up on Saturday. The weather will not be great for orientation, as a warm front comes through southern New England tomorrow morning with showers and thunderstorms. After a break around midday, a strong cold front will come through with a line of Severe thunderstorms. Then, another low pressure system will track right over the area on Sunday providing us with a soaking rain.

Boston, MA forecast:

Tonight: A partly cloudy night for my prom with comfortable temps. However, skies will become overcast after midnight with showers and thunderstorms. Muggy with lows around 60.

Saturday: Showers and thunderstorms until 10 AM, then hazy sun until 3 PM. Then severe thunderstorms likely after 3 PM. Humid with a high of 84. SW wind of 10-20 MPH. Some thunderstorms will produce frequent lightning, small hail and wind gusts to 70 MPH.

Saturday night: The severe thunderstorms diminish, but clouds and occasional showers continue for most of the night. Lows in the upper 50's.

Sunday: Rain. The rain will be heavy at times. Windy with highs around 70. NE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. It will be wet and windy in Plymouth, NH as well.

Monday: Clearing skies and lower humidity with highs in the mid 70's.
