A storm will come through the area on Saturday in parts. First, it will rain for a good part of the morning, then the sun may come out around noon. But, that will set off some severe thunderstorms in the mid and late afternoon. Especially, in Boston and points south. Then, Mother's Day will be partly sunny, windy and cool. Then seasonable weather will hang around for the first part of next week.
Boston, MA forecast:
Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy until 3 AM, then showers. Lows in the low 50's. SW around 10 MPH.
Saturday: Showers and thunderstorms until 10 AM, then partly sunny in between 10 AM and 2 PM. Then severe thunderstorms likely after 2 PM. My brother's game at 430 PM at Daisy is in question. Windy with highs ranging from 60 in southern NH to 70 in Boston, and 74 on the South Shore. SW winds of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. Severe thunderstorms after 2 PM may bring hail, winds of 60 MPH and frequent lightning.
Saturday night: Severe thunderstorms possible before 8 PM, then partly cloudy and windy. Lows in the mid 40's. West wind of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH.
Mother's Day: Partly sunny and cool. High 58. West wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH.
Monday: Sunny with highs around 60.
How about the game you are umping Saturday morning? AND the big Franklin Park Spring Clean-up scheduled for 10:00am - are we doomed?
ReplyDeleteDid you hear the thunderstorm at about 6 this morning? I expect this batch of rain to come to an end by 10. Then, the cold front will come through with storms, some may be severe. Anytime between 1 and 4 PM it appears now. Then, skies will clear out and it will become very windy. My game is scheduled for 1130, but the field may be too wet even if it is not raining. The rain should be over by 430, in time for Charlie's and Isaac's game. However, the field may be too wet.
