Lows this Morning:
Martha's Vineyard: 24
Bedford: 30
Norwood: 34
JP: 36 ( We had frost on our windshield this morning)
Boston: 42
Boston, MA forecast:
Tonight: Clear, but not as cold. Lows near 45 downtown, 41 in JP and 35 in the coldest suburbs. Some patchy frost is possible, but not as widespread as last night.
Thursday: Sunny until 2 PM, then increasing clouds. Temps reaching 60 around noon, but falling to 48 by 5 PM in Boston and along the coast. However, temps will rise to 63 west of 128. North wind shifting to east at 10-15 MPH.
Thursday night: Cloudy until 3 AM, then scattered showers. Lows around 40.
Friday: Showers in the morning, then rain possibly mixed with snow in the afternoon. Steady temps during the morning, but falling to 36 by 5 PM. The atmosphere will be cold enough for snow, so when the precip comes down hard it will snow. Some accumulation is possible NW of rte. 495, but none close to Boston. Windy with NE winds of 20-30 MPH.
Friday night: Rain mixed with snow. Near steady temps in the mid 30's. Accumulation seems likely NW of rte. 495. Very cold and wet for the Sox game at 7.
Saturday: Not a great day for driving to DC with rain mixed with snow until 10 AM, then rain. Highs around 40.
Saturday night: Surface temps might cool just enough to support mainly snow, but the heaviest precip may be over. As for now, rain changing to snow showers. A small accumulation is possible on grassy surfaces by Sunday morning. More details later.
Sunday: Snow showers mixed with rain until 9 AM, then scattered showers. Temps rising into the upper 40's
So the Boston Shines clean up day scheduled for Saturday in neighborhoods and parks all over the city will probably be rained out?
ReplyDeleteIf you can blog about Boston weather while you are in D.C. I'd love to know how next week Thurs and Friday are shaping up. Lots of park volunteers coming to work those days.
Thanks Nolan!
Ya, Saturday will be very cold and wet. I expect most outdoor events to be canceled.
