It now appears that the worst storm since May 2006 is about to occur. Showers this morning will transition to a steady rain this evening and then become heavy overnight. The heavy rain will continue through Sunday morning before tapering to showers by 1 PM Sunday. Also, NE winds will gust to 65 MPH on the Cape and 55 MPH in the Boston area. Then, another batch of rain will arrive for Sunday night into Monday morning, as the wind once again cranks up. Rainfall totals will range from 3-6 inches by Monday afternoon.

Alerts:

A Flood Watch is in effect for the entire area until Monday.

A High Wind Warning is in effect for eastern mass. from 4 PM today until 10 AM Sunday.

A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for the midnight hide tide tonight.

  2. I'm afraid that the storm will take a little longer to leave than I thought this morning, so showers may continue through Monday afternoon along with gusty winds. The weather in Spain will be sunny with highs in the mid 50's through Thursday. However, showers will move in for Thursday night and Friday. The sun will come back out for Saturday.
