A High Wind Warning has been issued until 9 AM Sunday morning for damaging wind gusts. The rain today was mainly light, but will now start to pick up in intensity. The heaviest rain will fall after midnight tonight and into Sunday morning. Then, the rain will slow down a bit Sunday afternoon, but it will become heavy again Sunday night into Monday morning. The winds will remain gusty through Monday evening, as the nor'easter is slow to move. The highest rainfall totals will be in eastern Mass, as the core of the heavy will come right over the area.

A Flood Watch is in effect is in effect for the entire area. I expect it will be upgraded to a Flood Warning sometime on Sunday.
A High Wind Warning is in effect for the coastline, including Boston.
A Wind Advisory is in effect for the rest of the area.

Boston, MA forecast: A long, powerful nor'easter
Tonight: Heavy rain. Very windy with near steady temps in the upper 30's. NE winds of 30-40 MPH with gusts to 70 MPH on the Cape and Islands, 60 MPH in Boston and the north shore, and 50 MPH west of 128. New rainfall of 1-2 inches.
Sunday: Heavy rain until 11AM, then steady rain continuing. Very windy with highs in the low 40's. NE winds of 35-45 MPH with gusts to 70 MPH on the Cape, 60 MPH in Boston and the north shore in the morning. But, decreasing to 60 MPH on the Cape and 50 MPH in Boston in the afternoon. New rainfall of 2-3 inches likely.
Sunday night: Steady rain in the evening, then heavy rain after midnight. Becoming windy again with lows in the upper 30's. NE winds of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH. New rainfall of 1-2 inches possible.
Monday: A steady to sometimes heavy rain. Windy with highs in the mid 40's. NE winds of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 45 MPH. New rainfall up to 1 inch possible.
Monday night: Rain ending, as the wind slowly diminishes. Lows in the low 30's.
