I am not 100% convinced that all of the storm will pass to our south, as of 9 PM the snow had entered NYC. It will be interesting to see how far north the snow makes it before heading straight east. I think some of the snow bands may clip the Cape and Islands as it heads out to sea. That may amount to 1-3 inches, especially on Nantucket. Snow showers are possible along the coast, including Boston which may amount to a coating or so. Keep on eye on the radar, especially Saturday morning.
Boston, MA forecast:
Tonight: Cloudy with lows near 24 in Boston, 22 in JP and in the teens in the suburbs.
Saturday: A close call as the storm heads mainly out to sea. Light snow is possible on the Cape and Islands, and a chance of snow shower in Boston and along the coast. Windy with highs in the mid 20's. NE winds of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH on the Cape.
Saturday night: Cloudy early, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the low to mid teens.
Sunday: Sunny and windy. High 28. NW wind of 15-25 MPH.
Monday: Sunny, highs near 30.
Extended: Another nor'easter will threaten New England on Wednesday, as temps stay around 30. Stay tuned for details.
