The winds are already gusting to near 35 MPH on Nantucket, and winds may gust to 50 MPH on the cape to near 40 MPH in Boston and the North Shore. The rain will begin to wind down by Saturday night, but only after 1-2 inches of rain has fallen.

Tonight: A lot like last night; cloudy from Boston south, and some clearing by the NH border. Lows near 30 in southern NH, and 40 in Boston and 46 on the Cape. NE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH on the cape.
Friday: Cloudy until mid-day, then rain arriving slowly from south to north. First on the islands, and then arriving around 6 in Boston and 8 in the southern NH. Windy, with highs near 50. NE wind increasing to 20-25 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH in Boston, 40 on the Cape and 45 on the islands.
Friday night: The brunt of the storm arrives with heavy rain and strong winds. Lows in the 40's. NE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH on the cape, and 35 in Boston and the north shore.
Saturday: The storm continues with periods of rain, some heavy, with strong winds. Highs in the 50's. NE wind of 20-35 MPH with gusts to 5o MPH on the cape, and 40 MPH in Boston and the north shore. The wind won't be as bad inland during the storm.
Saturday night: Rain ends from south to north as the wind decreases. Showers continuing after midnight. Lows in the 40's. NE winds gusting over 30 MPH along the coast.
Sunday: Cloudy until noon, then sunny and nice. High 63. A drying west wind of 10-15 MPH.
Sunday night: Clear, lows in the 40's.
