One Last Day

Today will be the last warm day for the next week. Expect temps to reach in the mid and upper 70's with a breeze. However, the wind will shift to the NE tonight, ushering in cool and cloudy conditions to southern portions of New England as a cold front goes past us, then stalls to the south However, at the same time high pressure will try to come down from Canada behind the cold front.  It will never really make it to the Boston area until the weekend, but there will be a sharp cutoff between clouds to the south and sun across northern New England. 

Boston, MA area forecast: 

Today: Mostly sunny, high 77. West wind 10-15 MPH, shifting to NE late in the day. Temps may drop after 5 Pm. 

Tonight: Becoming cloudy. Low 53. Slight chance of a shower. NE wind 10-15 MPH.

Wednesday and Thursday: Cloudy from Boston area points south with patchy drizzle, and a slight risk of a shower. Mostly cloudy with some breaks of sun possible Northwest (NW) of route 495 .  Sunny in northern New England. High around 60 in Boston area, a bit warmer NW of route 495.  NE wind 15-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH along the coast. 

Wednesday night and Thursday night: Cloudy with drizzle, and a slight chance of a shower on Wednesday night, a better chance on Thursday night. Low 56. NE wind 10-15 MPH.

Friday: Cloudy over all areas with a periodic showers possible. High 65. NE wind 10-15 MPH. 

Tropics: No storms in Atlantic. Major typhoon just north of Guam in pacific, winds of 155 MPH.
