Great weather is ahead, including for Labor day weekend. ! Low humidity and temps in the 70's can be expected. However, there is a storm system to the south and heavy rain is falling just south of Long Island. Some sprinkles may try to sneak on to the Cape and Islands over the next few days. The big High pressure system (means good weather)  over us should protect us from any big storms for at least the next week.

Local news: The low this morning on the Vineyard was 41. We are now back in JP.

Local forecast:

Today: Partly to mostly sunny, high 77. Light sea breeze. It may become cloudy for a time in SE Mass.

Tonight: Clearing, low 54.

Friday: Partly to mostly sunny. High 79. Light SE wind. Some sprinkles are possible over the Cape, and especially the Islands.

Friday night: Clearing, low 56.

Saturday and Sunday: Sunny, high around 75.
