Hurricane Ernesto now has winds of 80 MPH as it heads away from Puerto Rico this evening. It will track towards Bermuda as a major Hurricane by Saturday where a Hurricane Watch is in effect. Then it should pass well to our east before impacting Atlantic Canada. However, the storm will bring rough surf and rip currents to our beaches this weekend into early next week.
Boston forecast:
Tonight: Clear with lows near 67 in Boston and 58 in the suburbs.
Thursday: Partly sunny with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Smoky with highs near 78 in Boston and 85 inland. East wind of 10-20 MPH.
Thursday night: Showers and storms ending with lows in the mid 60's.
Friday: Sunny with highs around 80.
Saturday: Increasing clouds with highs in the low 80's.
Sunday; Showers likely. Highs in the 80's.
