 Wednesday will be a warmer day with sunny skies. Then Thursday and Friday will approach 90 degrees in most areas.   Then a strong cold front will bring much colder temps and some showers for the weekend. 

Boston forecast ;

Tonight: Clear with a low of 50. 

Wednesday : Mostly sunny with haze. High 80. SE wind  of 10-20 MPH. 

Wednesday night: Clear with lows around 60. 

Thursday; Sunny and not too humid. Highs around 90. 

Friday; Sunny with highs in the low 90's. Showers likely at night. 

Saturday;  Showers possible and windy. Much cooler with highs in the upper 50's. 

Sunday; Sunny with highs in the mid 60's.

Smoky Skies

 Intense wildfires in Nova Scotia will bring smoke to the area on Tuesday. The smoke could be dense at times cutting down on visibilities. Then heat will return to the area for the middle to the end of the week.

Tonight: Clear with a low of 45. 

Tuesday; Sunny with smoke.. Highs near 63 in Boston and 72 inland. SE wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Tuesday night: Clear with lows in the upper 40's. 

Wednesday: Sunny and warmer. Highs in the mid 80's. 

Thursday; Sunny with highs in the upper 80's. 

Friday; A late shower or storm possible. Highs around 90. 

Saturday :Rain and wind possible. Cooler with highs around 60.

SPECIAL: 2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season Forecast

 This year I am expecting about an average Hurricane Season. However, I still expect many landfalls in the US this summer. And most storms should form early in the season, before tapering off later in the year. This year I expect New England to have a below average chance of a landfalling Hurricane.

Memorial Day Weekend Forecast

 The long weekend will be dry with moderating temps as High Pressure takes control. And the nice weather will last into early next week as no rain is in sight.

Friday; Mostly sunny with a sea breeze. Highs near 70 in Boston and 78 inland.  NE wind of 10-20 MPH.

Scattered Showers

 A strong cold front will bring scattered showers and storms to the area on Wednesday afternoon and evening. It will be cooler behind the front for one day before temps rebound again. 

Boston forecast; 

Tonight: Clear and  chilly. Lows near 47 in Boston and 40 in the suburbs. 

Wednesday; A mix of sun and clouds until 5 PM, then showers with scattered thunderstorms. High 77. South wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Wednesday night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms until 8 PM, then clearing. Lows in the mid 40's. West wind of 15-25  MPH, changing to North late. 

Thursday: Sunny and windy. Cooler with highs in the mid 60's. North wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH.

The next few days will feature sunny skies and variable temps. On Tuesday temps will be held in the 60's with an onshore wind. By Wednesday temps will rise into the 70's before falling again by later in the week.

A Split Weekend

 A storm will come up the coast and bring us downpours on Saturday afternoon through Saturday night. It will dry out for Sunday and it will remain dry through most of next week.

Tonight: Increasing clouds with a low of 53. 

Saturday; Scattered showers in the morning, then showers with scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon. High 65. SE wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH.

Saturday night: Heavy rain with scattered thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 50's. SE wind of 15-25 MPH. Total rainfall of 1-2 inches. 

Sunday; Becoming mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 70's. 

Monday; Sunny with highs in the mid 60's.

A Saturday Soaker

 Friday will be a nice day with sunny skies and nice temps. Then a storm will come up the coast and give us rain and gusty wind on Saturday. It should dry out for Sunday. And another extended dry stretch is likely most of next week as well.

Saturday; Scattered showers in the morning, then rain in the afternoon. Highs in the low 60's. SE wind of 15-25 MPH.

Saturday night: Rain with scattered thunderstorms . Temps holding around 60.  Total rainfall around an inch. 

Sunday; Clearing with highs in the low 70's. 

Monday; Sunny with highs in the 60's. 

Cooler Wednesday

 Wednesday will be a much cooler day along with a gusty breeze. Then frost is likely in most areas Wednesday night. Temps rebound by the end of the week before rain over the weekend.

Tropics Update; A powerful cyclone is headed for India and Bangladesh over the next day or so.  It will bring flooding and damaging winds to the area. Stay tuned for my Atlantic Hurricane Season forecast at the end of May!

Tuesday will be a cooler day with some sun. Then frost is likely Tuesday night in some of the suburbs. Temps will start to rebound on Wednesday before it warms up considerably for the end of the week.

Thursday: Sunny with highs around 80.

Friday: A PM t-storm possible. Highs in the low 80's.

 After a couple showers overnight a nice stretch of weather is ahead. The coolest day appears to be Tuesday as temps hold in the 50's. Temps will rebound again later in the week.

Friday; Mostly cloudy with scattered showers, mist and drizzle. Areas of fog with a high of 52. NE wind of 10-20 MPH.

Saturday;  Sunny with highs around 70. 

Sunday; Partly sunny with highs in the upper 60's. 

Monday; Sunny with highs in the 70's.

Wednesday will again feature scattered showers as the upper level low continues to impact the area. And showers will last off and on through the day on Friday. It should dry out for the weekend.
