Snow Bust

 As I saw the rain  fall here in JP this afternoon I realized that my forecast was not coming to be. As temps warmed to fast and any snow that did fall failed to accumulate. Now, skies will clear for Wednesday and rain will fall by Thursday. 

Boston forecast;

Tonight: Rain and snow ends, then clearing. Low 32. NW wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Wednesday: Partly sunny with a high of 43. SW wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Wednesday night; Rain late. Lows in the upper 30's. 

Thursday; Rain showers. Temps holding around 40.

Friday; A storm arrives late. Highs around freezing. Stay tuned! 

Saturday; The storm continues. Highs in the 30's .

Sunday; Clearing with highs in the 30's.

Snow Update

 Snow will arrive  tonight and last through the day on Tuesday with several inches of snow expected. It may mix with rain near the end, but the accumulation will already have happened. The height of the storm will be during the morning hours.

Winter Weather Advisory

 A storm will impact the area Monday night into Tuesday with snow and some wind. Snow will arrive around midnight Monday night and last through the day on Tuesday accumulating several inches in the Boston area.

 Saturday will be a cold day along with some snow in the afternoon. Sunday will be warmer with more scattered snow by afternoon as well. Then we watch a major storm Monday night into Tuesday.

Storm Forecast

Clouds will increase on Wednesday ahead of our next storm. It appears that it will start as snow and accumulate a little before changing to ice and rain. But,  it also seems that Thursday will feature just light precip during the day.

Thursday; Scattered rain, freezing rain and sleet.  Near steady temps around freezing. Ice amounts around a tenth of an inch.

Snow Update

 A front will bring snow to the area overnight tonight into Tuesday morning with some accumulation mow likely! After  a midday break more rain and snow is likely at the end of the day. Wednesday will be dry before more snow arrives after dark. A few inches of snow is likely before a change to sleet and freezing rain on Thursday. Stay tuned for more details!

A Stormy Week Ahead

 The Holiday will feature a mix of sun and clouds and a passing shower. Colder air will then come into the area over the next few days.  Thursday will be a record setting day with temps in the mid to upper 60's! Then a strong cold front will bring rain and wind and maybe even a little snow at the end on Friday. It will dry out for the weekend.

Forecast Update

 The mild weather will continue over the next few days. On Wednesday temps will rise into the mid to upper 50's with  some sun. Then on Thursday records are expected to fall with highs in the mid to upper 60's! A strong cold front will bring rain, wind and maybe even a thunderstorm by Friday.

Dangerous conditions over the next several hours! I highly suggest staying indoors tomorrow due to the dangerous wind chills as low as 45 BELOW 0 in the  Boston area!!! As record cold combined with damaging winds will lead to extreme cold. Air temps should drop to close to 10 BELOW in the Boston area, and high temps on Saturday will stay in the teens.

Dangerous Cold

 An arctic outbreak will come into New England Friday into Saturday. The front will cross the area on Friday morning with scattered snow squalls. Then, the coldest air in decades to pour into the area. Temps on Friday will start in the upper 20's, but fall into the single digits by the end of the day. And the wind will gust as well making it feel well BELOW 0-even on Friday afternoon. By Friday night temps will fall well BELOW 0 and wind chills will drop to 30 to 40 BELOW in the area.
