Warmer Days

 A flow off the ocean will bring in scattered snow showers on Tuesday with little accumulation. Then temps will warm enough by Thursday for the next storm to start as rain. The rain will likely change to ice and then snow before ending on Friday How fast the changeover occurs will dictate how much snow we see. Stay tuned for further updates over the next few days.

 A historic Blizzard is about to get underway here in the Boston area. As snow will accumulate in FEET and the wind could gust to Hurricane force along the coast. That will create Blizzard conditions in the Boston area. The height of the storm appears to be the daylight hours of Saturday. The snow should wind down by the evening.

Historic Blizzard Possible

 A historic nor'easter will impact the region on Saturday. As FEET of snow is now expected in the Boston area. And powerful winds are expected as well leading to Blizzard conditions. And  waves over 30 FEET will slam the coast leading to coastal flooding.

 Ocean effect snow amounted to a few inches today on the South Shore and the Cape. Now, more ocean effect snow is likely tonight and tomorrow as cold air goes over the warm water. As temps on Saturday will hold in the 20's.

 A very powerful storm will impact the area with snow changing to rain and powerful winds. Snow will last for a couple hours and amount to an inch or 2. Then snow will change to rain by morning. And the wind will start to pick up by morning. Damaging winds are likely in Boston with gusts up to 65 MPH! Winds to Hurricane force are possible on outer Cape Cod and Cape Ann!

 The storm brought heavy snow to the city of Boston and points SW of the city this morning for several hours. That allowed to the storm to exceed expectations as almost a foot of snow fell in the city of Boston. And some towns just SW of the city recorded over a foot of snow. However, towns outside of the band got much less. Now, skies will clear and temps will struggle to recover to freezing on Saturday. Then rain is likely on Sunday.
