Halloween Surprise

As temps dropped more than expected today and the snow picked up in intensity at times the snow amounted to much more than previously thought. 4.3 inches fell at Logan in Boston breaking the record of any snowstorm in October of 1.1 inches. 

Snow Totals: 

Braintree, MA: 7.6 inches 
Worcester; 6.3 inches -3rd place all time for October snowfall 
Natick: 6.1 inches 
Quincy;: 5.0 inches 
Boston Common: 4.8 inches 
Logan: 4.3 inches 
Waltham; 4.2 inches

Boston forecast: 

Tonight :Clear and cold. Record cold with a low of 25. 

Halloween: Sunny with a high of 43. NW wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Trick Or Treat Timeline:

4 PM:  Sunny with a Temp of  40. NW wind of 10-15 MPH through the evening becoming calm after sunset

6 PM: Clear with a temp of 38 

8 PM: Clear with a temp of 36. 

Rest of Saturday Night: Clear with lows in the upper 20's. 

Sunday : Partly sunny in the morning, then showers with scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon  Warmer and windy with highs in the upper 50''s. 

Sunday night: Showers and windy. Lows in the upper 30's. 

Monday; Rain and snow showers likely.  Windy and cold with temps holding in the 30's. Stay tuned!
