Snow has started this evening and will continue overnight amounting to an inch or 2 in Boston. The snow will gradually end Tuesday morning. Skies should clear for Wednesday along with cold temps. Temps should warm a bit by Thursday leading to some rain showers.

Flash Freeze

The storm will continue to effect the area through Saturday. Heavy rain will fall through tonight and into Saturday morning. Then as the storm moves away a flash freeze will occur as temps drop 40 degrees in just a few hours. That means any standing water will freezes solid.

Storm Recap

The Blizzard brought heavy snows, damaging winds and major coastal flooding to the area. Some coastal areas had record coastal flooding as the wind piled up the water. Even downtown Boston saw record flooding. And many towns saw over a foot of snow as well. Now arctic air will come into New England behind the storm.
