A powerful storm will hit the area with heavy precip and strong winds. However, it will be mainly rain in Boston. It now appears that the rain will hold off until the evening drive. The strongest winds will also occur Monday night. The rain and wind will taper off on Tuesday.

Boston forecast:
Tonight:Areas of rain showers and drizzle. Low 35. NE wind of 15-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH.
Monday: Areas of rain, sleet and snow. High 37. NE wind increasing to 20 -30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH.
Monday night: Heavy rain and damaging winds. Temps holding in the upper 30's. East wind of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 60 MPH.
Tuesday: Periods of rain. Highs in the low 40's. NE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH. Total rainfall of 1-3 inches expected.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 40's.
Thursday: Sunny with highs int he 40's.
Friday: Sunny with highs in the 40's.
