SPECIAL: 2012-13 Winter Forecast

This is a preview of the upcoming winter ahead. After last winter that wasn't I expect this winter to be much colder and snowier. The long range data this winter supports some nor'easters, but most of the big storms could hit further south than Boston. As before, this winter I will predict snow totals for the immediate Boston area.

Tonight: Clear and windy. Low 27. NW wind of 15-20 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH.

Sunday: Partly sunny to mostly sunny  and windy. High 40. NW wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH.

Sunday night: Clear with lows in the 20's.

Monday: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 40's.

Tuesday: Cloudy with snow possible late in the day and at night, Highs around freezing. Some accumulation is possible. Stay tuned!

Wednesday: More snow possible. Highs around freezing.
