Snow Saturday
A front will cross the area tonight leading to a very cold Friday. Then, a warm front will approach from the West leading to some snow showers Saturday morning. It should switch to rain showers by afternoon, but there could be a coating of snow before the changeover. Sunday will be much warmer with highs well into the 50's.

Cold Front
An arctic cold front will cross the region on Thursday with no precip, but lots of cold. Friday will be the coldest of the season with temps struggling to reach freezing. Then, a warm front will come into the area on Saturday with a chance for some snow showers. Behind the front on Sunday temps will warm to near 50.

Well, a mix of rain and snow has fallen in the area today leading to some coatings throughout the area. The mix will continue overnight and it may accumulate a little in some areas. Any early precip should end, then some clearing is possible. It will remain cold thru Friday before a warm front comes into the area on Saturday leading to some more precip.

Some Snow
An area of low pressure will pass well south of the area on Tuesday leading to areas of light snow from Boston and points south. It won't be too heavy in Boston, so snow amounts will be limited. On Wednesday there will be still be a threat for a snow shower, but nothing big. It will dry out for the end of the week.

Snow!
Snow has been falling in the Boston area this evening-with some reports of up to 5 inches west of Boston. In Boston an earlier mix of rain and snow has changed over to snow over the last few hours. Snow may amount to an inch or so in Boston, but more not too far to the west. The precip will be off and on thru the night and most of the day tomorrow.

A Winter Weather Weather Advisory is in effect west of Boston 3-6 inches are possible there .

Storm Update
A storm will come up the coast and give us a mix of rain and some snow. Some ocean effect rain or snow showers will arrive in the morning, before steady precip arrives in the afternoon. It may even start with a brief burst of snow around Boston before changing to rain. The snow may coat the grass in and around Boston, with more possible out around central MA. The wind will gust over 50 MPH in some areas leading to scattered power outages, but not as much as Sandy last week.

Nor'easter Ahead
Election day will be a great day to head out to vote with sunny skies and highs in the 40's. On Wednesday it will become increasingly windy and cloudy with precip arriving in the afternoon. The height of the storm will be overnight Wednesday night with windswept rain. However, some areas may mix with wet snow in the evening-even close to Boston- before changing to rain. The Week Ahead
Sunday night will be the coolest night so far with temps dropping to near freezing in Boston and 20's elsewhere. Monday and Tuesday will also be chilly with sunny skies and highs in the 40's. Then, a powerful storm will come up the coast and give us another storm. The nor'easter will give us heavy rain and strong winds-effecting all the areas hit by Sandy last week.

Colder Weekend
Clouds will hang tough on Friday as the remains of Sandy spins around the Northeast. Then, as the storm heads into Canada a NW flow will draw cold winds into New England. Temps will struggle to reach 50 over the weekend.
