SEVERE Thunderstorm Watch

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the Boston area until 10 PM tonight. A line of strong to severe storms will come thru the area this evening. Be prepared to take cover when the storms come thru. On Thursday a few pop showers and storms are possible in the afternoon, but it is not a washout. A front will stall south of the area on Friday with late rain possible. The weekend looks OK at this point.

Boston, MA forecast:

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with scattered severe thunderstorms. Muggy with a low of 72. Some storms may produce wind gusts to 6o MPH and hail.

Thursday: Mostly sunny until 2 PM, then pop up showers and thunderstorms. High 85. SW wind of 10-20 MPH, shifting to NW in the afternoon.

Thursday night: Clear with lows in the mid 60's.

Friday: Increasing clouds until 3 PM, then scattered showers. Highs in the upper 70's.

Saturday: Clearing with highs around 80.

Sunday: Sunny with highs in the 80's.
