A powerful storm leading to severe weather in the south will hit the area over the weekend. Thankfully, the height of the storm will be late Saturday night into first thing Sunday morning. Heavy downpours may lead to some street flooding, and the wind will gust to 50 MPH. The wind will continue to howl on Sunday afternoon, but the sun will come out. Marathon Monday will be great with temps around 60 and a tail wind.

A High Wind Warning is in effect for the mountains of northern New England. Winds may gust past 70 MPH there!
A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Boston area.

Tonight: Bring your plants in! Clear with widespread frost. Lows near 34 in Boston, 31 in JP and 26 in the suburbs.
Saturday: Increasing clouds until 5 PM. then scattered showers. Increasingly windy with a high of 45. SE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH in the afternoon.
Saturday night: Showers in the evening will becoming a soaking rain after midnight. Windy with lows in the low 40's. SE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH. Rain totals around an inch.
Sunday: Showers with scattered downpours until 10 AM, then partial clearing. Windy with highs in the upper 50's. West wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH.
