Forecast Update

 Skies will clear for Thursday as High Pressure keeps any tropical activity offshore of New England. By Thursday night winds will diminish and temps will fall into the 40's in the suburbs. And finally a nice holiday weekend is in store. 

Alert :

A High Surf Advisory is in effect for the Cape And Islands through Thursday. 

Boston forecast; 

Tonight Clear and breezy. Low 60. North wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Thursday; Sunny and cooler. High 73. North wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH. 

Thursday night; Clear and cold for this time of year. Lows in the mid 50's in Boston and mid 40's in the suburbs. 

Friday; Sunny with highs in the upper 70's. 

Saturday; Sunny with highs around 80.

Sunday; Sunny with highs in the 80's. 

Labor Day: Sunny with highs around 90. 

Tropics; Hurricane Idalia made landfall in Florida Wednesday morning with winds of 125 MPH and lead to major flooding and damage in the area.

Hurricane Franklin

 Hurricane Franklin is expected to strengthen into a major Hurricane and pass well offshore of the New England coast. However, a front will grab some moisture from the Hurricane and bring it up the coast into the area late Tuesday into Wednesday. And it may pass close enough to bring some wind as well.

Tonight; Partly cloudy with areas of fog. Low 60. 

Monday :Mostly sunny with a high of 75. SE wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Monday night: Increasing clouds with lows in the upper 50's. 

Tuesday: Cloudy early, then rain late .Highs around 70. 

Tuesday night: Heavy rain and some wind likely. Lows in the 60's. Stay tuned! 

Wednesday: Rain early, then scattered showers late. Highs in the mid 70's. Look for my rain totals tomorrow!

Friday; Increasing clouds with highs in the 70's. 

More Tropical Trouble: TS Idalia has formed in the Gulf Of Mexico and is forecast to become a major Hurricane and slam into the West Coast of Florida late Tuesday into Wednesday. Stay tuned for track updates!

More Rain

 Rain will fall heavily at times on Friday as another area of low pressure comes through. More showers are likely into Saturday as the storm slows down. It should dry out for Sunday. 

Boston forecast; 

Tonight: Rain late. Low 65. SE wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Friday; Rain with scattered thunderstorms. High 72. SE wind of 15-25 MPH. Total rainfall of 1-2 inches. 

Friday night: Showers. Lows in the mid 60's. SE wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Saturday; Scattered showers. Highs in the mid 70's. 

Sunday; Sunny with highs in the low 80's.

Monday; Sunny with highs in the upper 70's. 

Tropics; It now appears that Hurricane  Franklin will go between Bermuda and the East Coast during the middle of next week, but that is still subject to change. We are also watching a storm in the Gulf that is expected to develop and will likely hit Florida and may come up the East coast later next week. Stay tuned!

Comfy Temps

Wednesday will be another great day with sunny skies and comfy temps. Clouds will increase on Thursday ahead of our next storm on Friday. 

Boston forecast :

Tonight: Clear and cool. Lows near 55 in Boston and 48 in the suburbs. 

Wednesday: Mostly  sunny with a high of 75. NE wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Wednesday night: Clear with lows in the mid 50's. 

Thursday;  Increasing clouds with highs in the upper 70's.

Thursday night: Cloudy early, then rain late. Lows in the mid 60's.

Friday; Rain and some wind. Highs around 70, 

Saturday; Showers may continue. Highs around 70.

Sunday; Clearing with highs in the 70's. 

TS Franklin: The storm is expected to hit Hispaniola and then track north  and may be near Bermuda by the weekend.. After that it could threaten the East Coast. Stay tuned!

Forecast Update

 Tuesday and Wednesday will be great days with sunny skies and low humidity. Then the remains of Hillary will bring rain to the area on Friday.

Tuesday; Mostly sunny and low humidity. High 73. NE wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Tuesday night; Clear with lows in the upper 50's in Boston and mid 40's in some of the colder suburbs! 

Wednesday; Sunny with highs in the mid 70's. 

Thursday; Increasing clouds with highs in the mid 70's. 

Friday: Rain and some wind as the remains of Hillary come through. Highs around 70.

Saturday. Clearing possible. Highs in the low 70's. 

Sunday: Sunny with highs in the 60's. 

Tropics; TS Franklin is the biggest concern right now as hit heads near Hispaniola and may make a close pass to the  East Coast next week. Stay tuned!

Hurricane Hillary

Hurricane Hillary will make a historic strike on Southern CA. It will bring flooding rains and high winds. A major event is expected! The weather will be quiet of most of the week here in New England.

Tonight: Clearing with a low of 60. 

Sunday; Mostly sunny with a high of 85. SW wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Sunday night: Increasing clouds with lows around 70.

Monday; Showers possible. Highs around 90.

Wednesday; Sunny with highs in the 70's.

Wild Weather

After a wild day of severe weather(details below), a quieter weekend is in store. Saturday will feature increasing clouds and an afternoon shower along with temps in the 70's. Then Sunday will warm into the 80's under sunny skies. And much of next week looks dry as well. 

Boston forecast; 

Tonight: Clear with a low of 62. 

Saturday: Sunny in the morning, then increasing clouds with a passing shower in the afternoon. High 73. West wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Saturday night: Clearing with lows in the upper 50's.

Sunday; Sunny with highs in the mid 80's. 

Monday; Sunny with highs around 80.

Tuesday; Sunny with highs in the 70's. 

Severe Weather On Friday; 4 tornadoes have been confirmed in Southern New England on Friday. Including an EF2 Tornado in RI! As 1 tornado impacted cites just south of Boston leading to down trees and power outages. 

Major Hurricane Hillary; For the first time in their history Tropical Storm Watches are in effect for LA and San Diego as the Hurricane heads up the coast. Gusts over Hurricane Force are possible near the coast and in the higher elevations. And over a foot of rain is possible in parts of the Southwest as well. The height of the storms is expected to hit late Sunday into Monday. Stay tuned!

One More

 More low clouds and fog are likely on Thursday as an onshore flow continues.  A front will finally clear us out for the weekend, but it will bring showers and storms on Friday.

Sunday; Sunny with highs in the low 80's. 

Tropics; TS Hillary has formed in the East Pacific and will travel north along the coast of Mexico. And it may eventually impacts Southern California this weekend. Stay tuned!

 Yet another storm will impact the area on Thursday night. It will bring more flooding rains and tornadoes. Then skies will clear for Friday before more storms by Saturday.

Sunday; Showers continue. 

Hawaii Fires: Major wildfires are impacting the Island of Maui. As Hurricane force winds are leading to catastrophic damage all over the island. Many lives have been lost and many others have nowhere to go. Please send prayers to the people of  Hawaii.

 A series of fronts will lead to severe weather on Tuesday morning. As widespread storms will develop and will lead to damaging winds, hail and even tornadoes. The threat will begin to wind down in the afternoon.  And the sun will return on Wednesday.
