Warmer For A Day

A strong front will bring downpours and wind to the area late Sunday into Monday. Behind the front will it will be cold and windy along with a few snow squalls. 

Boston forecast :

Tonight; Increasing clouds with a passing rain or snow shower late. Near steady temps around 32.

Sunday; Mostly cloudy until 3 PM, then showers with scattered thunderstorms. High 55. South wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Sunday night: Heavy rain and strong winds. Lows around 40. SW wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 45 MPH. 

Monday: Partly sunny and windy. Cold with temps holding near 40. 

Election Day: Snow showers possible. Windy with highs in the upper 30's. 

Wednesday; Sunny with highs in the 50's.

Halloween Surprise

As temps dropped more than expected today and the snow picked up in intensity at times the snow amounted to much more than previously thought. 4.3 inches fell at Logan in Boston breaking the record of any snowstorm in October of 1.1 inches.

Natick: 6.1 inches 
Quincy;: 5.0 inches 
Boston Common: 4.8 inches 
Logan: 4.3 inches

Tonight :Clear and cold. Record cold with a low of 25. 

Halloween: Sunny with a high of 43. NW wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Trick Or Treat Timeline:

4 PM:  Sunny with a Temp of  40. NW wind of 10-15 MPH through the evening becoming calm after sunset

6 PM: Clear with a temp of 38 

8 PM: Clear with a temp of 36. 

Rest of Saturday Night: Clear with lows in the upper 20's.

Snow Forecast

 An area of low pressure will bring rain changing to snow on Friday. It now appears that the snow will accumulate in Boston. Rain should change to snow by mid morning and last into the early afternoon.  The heaviest snow will fall in the morning and may make roads slippery.

 The remains of Hurricane Zeta will impact the area from Thursday afternoon through Friday morning. Rain will arrive around noon and will last trough the night. As colder air comes into the area rain will chance to snow even in the Boston area.

Forecast Update

 An area of low pressure will bring a steady rain to the area on Wednesday morning before some drying in the afternoon. Then the remains of Zeta will bring heavy rains, strong winds and snow to the area from Thursday afternoon through Friday. Stay tuned for more info on Wednesday.

Calm Before Storm

 Tuesday and Wednesday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with a passing shower. Then the remains of Hurricane Zeta will combine with another area of low pressure and bring us heavy rain, strong winds and even snow.

I Have Recovered

I had surgery a couple of weeks ago and that is why I have not been blogging, However, I am now mostly recovered and will plan on blogging on a more regular basis. As for the weather it will remain mild for the next few days before a cold front comes through on Saturday.

Friday: Partly to mostly sunny with areas of fog. High 63. NE wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Friday night; Low clouds and fog come back into the area. Lows around 50.

Monday: PM showers likely. Highs in the low 50's. 

Tropics; Hurricane Epsilon now has winds of 85 MPH east of Bermuda. It will track NE and make a close pass to Newfoundland.
