A strong front will cross the area on Wednesday morning leading to showers and thunderstorms. And some thunderstorms could be severe with damaging winds, hail and even an isolated tornado. Behind the front it will stay windy, but the sun should return in the afternoon. Thursday and Friday now look dry before a chance for more rain by Saturday.
Boston forecast:
Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy until 5 AM, then showers with scattered severe thunderstorms. Low 60. South wind of 15-25 MPH. Some thunderstorms will produce damaging winds, hail and isolated tornadoes.
Wednesday: Showers with scattered severe thunderstorms until 10 AM, then becoming sunny. High 75. South wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. Some thunderstorms will produce damaging winds, hail and isolated tornadoes.
Wednesday night: Clearing with lows in the mid 40's.
Thursday: Mostly sunny with highs in the low 60's.
Friday: Mostly cloudy with highs around 60.
Saturday: Showers possible. Highs in the 60's.
Sunday: Sunny with highs in the 50's.
Columbus Day: Sunny with highs in the 50's.
Tropics: Super Typhoon Vongsong now has winds of 180 MPH as it heads towards Japan over the next several days.

No rain for wild Wednesday! Can you believe it? Beautiful clouds this morning, not too windy, some hints of blue sky and then sunny and warm this afternoon.
