Wet Week

It now appears that the cool front coming thru will stall near the area. Leading to a few days of cool and damp weather. Temps will struggle to reach 70 over the next few days as the wind comes off the water. Dry weather should come back by Friday-however we will have to watch Hurricane Katia as it will make a close pass to the area on Saturday.

Alert: A Flood Watch is in effect for Worcester and points NW - including here at PSU

Boston, MA forecast:

Tonight: Scattered showers this evening, then rain after midnight. Low 68.

Tuesday: Rain with scattered thunderstorms in the morning, then showers in the afternoon. Temps near 70 in the morning will drop to 63 by 5 PM. NE wind of 15-20 MPH.

Tuesday night: Low clouds and fog with scattered showers. Near steady temp in the low 60's.

Wednesday: Low clouds and fog with mist, drizzle and scattered showers. Highs in the mid 60's.

Thursday: First day of school for BPS! Low clouds and fog slowly lift to some sun by late in the day. Highs in the upper 60's.

Friday: Clearing should come into the area. Highs around 70.

Tropics: Hurricane Katia is now a major Hurricane with winds of 115 MPH. The latest track sends it just east of the Cape this weekend. Stay tuned for more detailed updates as it approaches.
