Split Weekend

Saturday will end up being dry for most of the day with rain arriving overnight. Saturday night will end up being the wettest period as low pressure comes in from the west. I'm hopeful that the rain will fall mostly early in the morning, before tapering to isolated showers later. And, the remains of TS Emily may re-energize and pass well SE of Nantucket on Tuesday.

Boston, MA forecast:

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a low of 65.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy and warmer. High 83. SW wind of 10-20 MPH.

Saturday night: Isolated showers until 10 PM, then showers with scattered thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 60's.

Sunday: Showers with scattered thunderstorms until 9 AM, then isolated showers. Highs in the mid 70's.

Monday: Mostly cloudy with a shower possible. Highs in the 80's.

Tropics: Emily has fallen apart into a Tropical wave tonight. However, it is expected to re-energize into a Tropical Storm and pass close to the SE coast this weekend. Then, it is expected to head out to sea early next week. Stay tuned for any updates on the track of the storm.

  1. Two weather forecast questions for you: 1) will the Red Sox-Yankees game at Fenway on Sunday night be called off? 2) Will I get wet trying to bike around Nantucket on Tuesday?

  2. The Red Sox game is a go this evening, but there could be another thunderstorm with a chance of a short delay. Nantucket will be foggy and cool on Tuesday, but should be mainly dry.
