A strong cold front will come through the area on Friday with showers. Most showers will be light, and will end by early evening. No new flooding is expected. Then, mainly dry and seasonable conditions will come in for the weekend. The dry and near normal temps will continue for a while next week.

Tonight: Cloudy with drizzle, mist and fog. Near steady temps in the upper 40's. A NE wind of 10-20 MPH.
Friday: A shower before 10 AM, then mostly cloudy between 10 and noon, then showers in the afternoon. High 55. A SW wind of 10-20 MPH. Total rainfall around an inch.
Friday night: Showers until 8 PM, then gradual clearing. Cold with lows near 40 in Boston and 30's elsewhere. A frost is possible in some suburbs.
Saturday: Bright, but cool and windy. High 54. NW winds gusting to 30 MPH.
Sunday: Partly sunny with a slight risk of a early morning shower. Warmer with highs in the low to mid 60's.

ReplyDeleteA back door cold front come means that a cold front comes down the coast from Maine. It usually happens in Spring, and when it does the Boston area can be dramatically cooler than areas to the west. It usually brings clouds off the ocean as well, making it feel even colder.
