SPECIAL:2025-2026 Winter Forecast

 The last few winters have given us very few opportunities for snow. But this Winter I expect to be different. I expect around average snow and cold temperatures. The most snow may fall in the first half of the Winter with maybe an early spring next year. Of course, any major shift in the pattern during the times of storminess could lead to my forecast not being on track.

Weekend Update

 Saturday will be a sunny and chilly day along with light winds. Rain will approach during the day on Sunday, but not arrive until the evening. A Winter Storm appears likely early next week. 

Boston forecast: 

Tonight: Clearing and windy. Low 30. NW wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. 

Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high of 42. NW wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Saturday night: Increasing clouds with lows in the low 30's .

Sunday: Rain late. Highs in the low 40's .

Monday: Mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 30's .

Tuesday: A Winter Storm likely. Highs around freezing. Stay tuned!

Happy Thanksgiving!

 Happy Thanksgiving everyone and thanks for reading my blog. I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday. The weather for the holiday will feature a mix of sun and clouds and a gusty breeze. A few snow showers are possible on Friday along with a strong wind and the next bigger storm arrives by Sunday. 

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Scattered showers end, then clearing. Low 42. SW wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Thanksgiving Day: A mix of sun and clouds with a high of 47. NW wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH. 

Thursday night: Clear with lows in the low 30's. 

Friday: Scattered snow showers possible. Otherwise partly sunny and windy. Highs in the upper 30's. 

Saturday: Sunny with highs around 40. 

Sunday: PM rain likely. Highs in the 40's.

Forecast Update

 Rain will fall overnight but end by the morning, although some scattered showers are possible on Wednesday as well. The Thanksgiving Holiday will be chilly but dry. And the wind will pick up once again by the end of the week.

Tonight: Rain. Near steady temps around 48. South wind of 15-25 MPH.

Wednesday: Partly to mostly cloudy with a shower possible. Warm with a high of 60. SW wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Wednesday night: Clearing with lows around 40. 

Thanksgiving: Sunny and windy. Highs in the mid 40's.

Friday: Partly sunny with a passing snow shower. Windy with highs in the upper 30's. 

Saturday: Sunny with highs in the upper 30's .

Thanksgiving Week Forecast

 Monday will be a bit warmer along with some sun. Clouds will increase on Tuesday and it will rain Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. The Holiday looks chilly but dry. 

Boston forecast: 

Tonight: Any snow showers end, then partial clearing. Low 32. 

Monday: A mix of sun and clouds with a high of 48. NW wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Monday night: Clear with lows in the low 30's. 

Tuesday: Increasing afternoon clouds. Highs around 50.

Tuesday night: Rain. Lows in the mid 40's. 

Wednesday: Rain ending, then clearing. Highs around 60.

Weekend Forecast

 Scattered showers are likely on Saturday as a weak area of low pressure slips by. It will dry out by Sunday and the dry weather will lead up to the travel days for Thanksgiving.

Less Wind

 The next 2 days will be dry and chilly but with less wind. Showers are possible on Friday and into Saturday before drying out for the rest of the weekend.

 Monday will be another cold and windy day with temps in the low 40's. Temps will continue to hang in the 40's for most of the week with no major storms. A few showers and milder temps are likely by the end of the week.

Mainly Rain

 Friday will feature more sun than the last few days and temps in the 40's. Then clouds will increase on Saturday ahead of our next storm. The storm will bring rain to the area Saturday night before ending Sunday morning. The wind will pick up again as the storm departs.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high of 45. West wind of 15-25 MPH.

 More scattered flakes are possible over the next few days as weak troughs come thru. The next major system will approach the area over the weekend and that could include some wintry precip.

Flakes Tuesday

 Veterans Day will be a much cooler day with a passing snow shower in the afternoon. The chilly iar will stick around for the rest of the week with mainly dry conditions.

Tonight: Any rain ends, then clearing. Low 34. NW wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. Wind chill values as low as 18 late. 

Veterans Day: Sunny in the morning, then increasing clouds with scattered snow showers in the afternoon. High 40. NW wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 45 MPH. No snow accumulation expected. 

Tuesday night: Any snow flurries or snow shower end, then clearing. Lows in the low 30's. 

Wednesday: Partly sunny and still chilly. Highs in the low 40's

Friday: Sunny with highs in the 40's.

More rain is expected on Monday morning before tapering off in the afternoon. Then Veterans Day will be cold and windy with a passing snow shower. Temps will be held in the 40's for the rest of the week.

Tonight: Rain early, then showers late. Temps holding around 50. East wind of 15-25 MPH.

Monday: Rain in the morning, then partly sunny in the afternoon. High 58. SE wind of 15-25 MPH, shifting to NW in the afternoon. Total rainfall of .5-1 inch. 

Monday night: Clearing and colder. Lows in the low 30's. NW wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. Temps feel as low as the upper teens late. 

Veterans Day: Partly sunny with a passing snow shower. Windy with highs around 40. NW wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. Temps feel below freezing all day!

Thursday: Sunny with highs in the 40's.

 Clouds will increase on Friday ahead of our next rain chance. Showers are likely Friday night before it dries out for Saturday. More rain is likely on Sunday afternoon before cold air comes into the region early next week.

Friday: Increasing clouds with a high of 55. West wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Friday night :Rain showers. Lows around 40.

High Wind Watch

 Yet another wind event is on the way as low pressure will intensify over us on Wednesday night. But, this time the wind will be more impactful with winds over 60 MPH likely! The height of the wind will be late  Wednesday night, before gradually diminishing during the day on Thursday. I suggest bringing in any holiday decorations you may have outside.

Tonight: Clear with a low of 40. NW wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Wednesday: Increasing clouds and wind. High 58. SW wind increasing to 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH.

Wednesday night: Showers with scattered thunderstorms in the evening, then clearing. Wicked winds with lows in the low 40's. Wind changing to West and increasing to 25-35 MPH with gusts to 65 MPH. 

Thursday: Mostly sunny and still windy. Highs in the low 50's. West wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 55 MPH. 

Friday: Sunny with highs in the mid 50's. 

Saturday: AM rain likely. Highs in the 50's. .

 Tuesday will be another windy day with sunny skies and temps in the 50's. More rain is expected by Wednesday and more wind is expected behind that system as well. And additional rain is likely to come in over the weekend.
