Wet Wednesday

 Another front will cross the area on Wednesday bringing heavy rain in the morning before ending in the afternoon. It will dry out for the end of the week, but it will turn much cooler. And the weekend looks to be chilly and dry as well. 

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Increasing clouds early, then showers with scattered thunderstorms late. Low 55. SE wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Wednesday: Showers with scattered thunderstorms in the morning, then partly sunny with a passing shower in the afternoon. High 65. SE wind of 15-25 MPH, changing to SW in the afternoon. Total rainfall of .25-.5 inches. 

Wednesday Night: Clearing with lows in the low 40's. 

Thursday: Sunny with highs around 60.

Friday: Partly sunny with highs in the upper 50's. 

Saturday: Sunny with highs in the mid 50's. 

Sunday: Sunny with highs in the mid 50's.

Rain And Wind

A strong cold front will bring downpours, thunder and wind to the area on Monday. IT will dry out for Tuesday before another strong front arrives by Wednesday. Cooler air will come to the region by the end of the week.

Monday: Showers with thunderstorms. High 68. SE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. Total rainfall around an inch. 

Monday night: Clearing with lows in the low 40's. 

Tuesday: Sunny with highs in the low 60's. 

Wednesday: Showers and windy. Highs in the mid 60's. 

Thursday: Sunny with highs in the 50's.

Clearing Skies

 Skies will finally clear after a multi -day nor'easter slammed the region with inches of rain and high winds. Wednesday will be sunny with temps in the low 60's, but Thursday will be quite chilly and windy. It should warm up a bit by the weekend.

Tonight: Low clouds with mist and drizzle early, then partial clearing with areas of fog. Low 50. NE wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds with a high of 62. North wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Wednesday Night: Clearing with lows in the low 40's. NW wind increasing to 10-20 MP with gusts to 30 MPH. 

Thursday: Sunny and windy. Highs in the low 50's. NW wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. 

Friday: Sunny with highs in the low 60's. 

Saturday: Sunny with highs in the mid 60's .

Sunday: Sunny with highs around 70.

Forecast Update

 Temps will crash tonight leading to a frost in the city and a hard freeze elsewhere. Friday and Saturday will be dry before a powerful nor'easter impacts the area Sunday into Monday. High winds, coastal flooding and heavy rain all appear probable. The height of the storm appears to be on Monday.

Sunday: PM rain and wind. Highs in the upper 50's.

Falling Temps

 A strong cold front will bring rain and falling temps on Wednesday. Temps will continue to drop on Thursday with highs in the 50's. A widespread freeze and frost is likely on Thursday night with most suburbs falling below freezing! And some patchy frost is possible even in JP. Then Friday and Saturday look dry before we watch a nor'easter for Sunday into Monday. Stay tuned!

Tonight: Rain arriving. Breezy and muggy with a low of 65. South wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH. 

Wednesday: Rain with scattered thunderstorms in the morning, then partly sunny in the afternoon. Temps near 68 in the morning will fall to 60 by 5 PM. South wind of 15-25 MPH in the morning, changing to NW in the afternoon. 

Wednesday Night: Clearing and much colder. Lows in the mid 40's. NW wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH. 

Thursday: Sunny and chilly. Highs in the mid 50's. 

Thursday night: Clear and cold. Lows in the mid 30's in Boston, but 20's in the suburbs.

The Week Ahead

 High temps on Monday will approach daily records as the warm weather continues. Tuesday will also be warm before a sharp cold front arrives on Wednesday. The front will bring dropping temperatures. gusty winds and rain to the area. Temps will then crash behind the front. 

Boston forecast: 

Tonight: Clear with a low of 60. 

Monday: Mostly sunny and very warm. High 85. SW wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Monday night: Clear with lows in the low 60's. 

Tuesday: Mostly sunny in the morning, then increasing clouds in the afternoon. Highs in the low 80's .

Wednesday: Showers and windy. Temps falling thru the 60's. 

Thursday: Clearing and much cooler. Highs in the upper 50's. A widespread frost is likely at night-possibly even in the city. 

Friday: Sunny with highs in the low 60's

Tropics: A storm is expected to form in the Cental Atlantic over the next few days and track near the Caribbean before turning north. We also need to watch a potential storm that may form along the East Coast this weekend. Stay tuned!

 Friday will start chilly but end milder as High Pressure slips offshore. Saturday and Sunday will be warm and sunny, and the heat will build early next week. As high temps could approach records.
