Wild Weekend

 Saturday will be a wild day with temps nearing 60 by noon before crashing to the 30's by late in the day. Temps Saturday night will be in the teens along with gusty winds. By Sunday highs will be in the 20's with winds as well. Sunday night will be the coldest with lows in the single digits. 

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Scattered rain and snow. Low 34. South wind of 15-25 MPH. No snow accumulation expected. 

Saturday: Scattered rain showers with falling temps. Temps near 58 around noon will fall to 40 by 5 PM. NW wind increasing to 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. 

Saturday night: Clearing and windy. Lows around 15. NW wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 45 MPH. Wind chill values as low as 3 BELOW late. 

Sunday: Sunny and windy. Highs in the upper 20's. NW wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. 

Sunday night: Clear with low around 10. Wind chill values as low as 8 BELOW. 

Monday: Sunny with highs around 30. 

Tuesday: Increasing clouds with highs in the 40's.

Weekend Forecast

 Friday will be a cooler but sunny day along with a gusty wind. A period of snow and rain is expected at night as a weak system comes through. Saturday will be mainly dry and warm before a sharp cooldown for  Sunday.

Forecast Update

 Unfortunately, my last computer crashed last week so I was unable to blog. Now back to weather. Tuesday will be a mild day along with a passing shower. Wednesday will be the pick of the week with sunny skies and warm temps. Rain and wind is likely on Thursday.

Tonight; Mostly cloudy with near steady temps around 38. SW wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with a passing afternoon shower. High 50. SW wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Tuesday night: Clearing with lows in the mid 30's. 

Wednesday: Sunny with highs around 50.

Thursday: Rain and wind likely. Highs in the low 50's. 

Friday: Clearing and windy. Highs in the mid 40's.

Cold And Windy

 Tuesday will be another windy and cold day with sunny skies. The next few days will also be cold and windy, but looks dry as the storm on Thursday appears to head out to sea.

Windy Monday

Behind the weekend storm the wind will whip on Monday leading to scattered power outages. As the wind could gust over 60 MPH. Along with the wind will be cold temps leading to wind chills BELOW 0  at times. The next storm to watch will be on Thursday.

Tonight: Any rain or freezing rain ends, then clearing. Becoming windy with a low of 20. West wind increasing to 25-35 MPH with gusts to 55 MPH. 

Monday: A mix of sun and clouds with damaging winds. High 27. West winds of 30-40 MPH with gusts to 65 MPH.

 Snow has started this evening and will continue overnight. It will amount to several inches by morning. It will then turn to sleet and freezing rain before a change to all rain. High winds come into New England on Monday behind the storm.

Sunday: Snow-changing to sleet and freezing rain and then rain. High 40. SE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. Total snow amounts of 4-7 inches. 

Sunday night: Clearing and windy. Lows around 20. NW wind increasing to 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH.

 After a windy Friday a powerful storm will impact the area this weekend. An ice storm is possible in parts of the area as freezing rain is probable. And several inches of snow is likely before then as well.

Saturday night: Snow changing to freezing rain by morning. Temps holding in the upper 20's.

 Scattered snow showers are possible on Wednesday as the wind comes off the ocean. Then a storm will bring snow changing to sleet, freezing rain and rain Wednesday night into Thursday. Another impactful storm is probable over the weekend. ]

Snow will arrive after dark on Saturday and fall heavily thru Sunday morning. It  will amount to several inches. The height of the storm appears to be during the wee hours of Sunday morning. It should dry out by the afternoon.

It will start as all snow and snow heavily for a few hours before any change to sleet or freezing rain. By the end of the storm some light rain is likely, but most of the storm will have ended by then.

Winter Weather Advisory

 After a quiet and cold Wednesday a storm will impact the region on Thursday. It will bring our first messy storm in a while with snow changing to sleet, freezing rain and probably plain rain before ending. Snow will fall heavily for a few hours in the midday before any changeover. That will lead to several inches of snow and slippery travel. Temps should reach above  freezing by the end of the day.

 A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for most of MA from  7 AM to 7 PM Thursday.
