Scattered Storms

 Another severe weather outbreak in New England is expected on Sunday afternoon as a cold front approaches. The storms could bring high winds, hail and isolated tornadoes. It will dry out for most of the  holiday week behind the front. 

 Boston forecast; 

Tonight: Showers with scattered thunderstorms. Near steady temps around 73. South wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. 

Sunday; Partly sunny until 2 PM, then scattered severe thunderstorms. Very humid with a High of 88. SW wind of  15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. Some storms will bring damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes. 

Sunday night; Showers and severe storms ending, then partial clearing. Less humid with lows around 60. 

Monday; Partly sunny and less humid. Highs in the upper 70's. 

Tuesday: Sunny with highs in the low 80's. 

Wednesday: Sunny with highs in the mid 80's.

Hurricane Beryl: It now has winds of 80 MPH and is expected to become a major Hurricane as it enters the Caribbean. Stay tuned! 

A Split Weekend

 Clouds and a south breeze will increase on Saturday as a strong front approaches. The front will bring severe storms to the aera on Sunday with another threat of tornadoes as well. It will dry out for the first half of the holiday week.

Saturday; Partly sunny in the morning, then increasing clouds in the afternoon. High 77. South wind of 15-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH. 

Saturday night: Scattered showers. Humid with lows in the upper 60's. South wind of 15 -25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. 

Sunday; Mostly cloudy with scattered severe thunderstorms. Humid with highs in the upper 80's. 

Monday; Clearing with highs in the upper 70's. 

Tuesday; Sunny with highs in the 80's. 

TS Beryl: TS Beryl was named at 11 PM Eastern time on Friday. Now it is expected to become a Hurricane-maybe a major-and hit the Caribbean islands over the next several days. Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend!

Friday will be a great day after a cool start as high pressure takes control. Then yet another front will bring showers and storms from late Saturday thru  the day on Sunday with more severe storms possible. It should dry out for early next week.

Tropics; A tropical wave is expected to become our next named storm over the next few days. And it will likely track towards the Caribbean as a Hurricane by the middle of next week. Stay tuned for track updates! 

More Storms

 A strong front will bring showers and storms to the area Wednesday night into Thursday morning. The height of the storm should be early Thursday morning, with heavy rain and strong winds possible. It should dry out for Friday with more rain expected this weekend.

The Heat Returns

 Skies will clear for Tuesday as temps rise into the upper 80's. Then the warmest day of the week appears to be Wednesday before a cold front arrives. The front will bring scattered  severe storms by the evening. Drier  and cooler weather will come into the area behind the front.

Tornado Watch

 A Tornado Watch has now been extended to include the city of Boston. It is in effect until 8 PM. That means there is a threat for a Tornado over the next few hours. Stay tuned for more updates! 

A New England Tornado Outbreak?

 A rare tornado outbreak is possible in New England on Sunday afternoon and evening as a front comes thru. The storm prediction center has given parts of New England an elevated chance of tornadoes- which is very rare for our area. It will dry out behind the storms on Monday.

 An Excessive Heat Watch has been issued for parts of the area as dangerous heat is expected later this week. Monday will be in the 80's, but starting on Tuesday and continuing through the rest of the week temps will rise well into the 90's. And the heat will peak on Thursday when highs will likely reach 100 degrees!

 Father's Day will be a cooler day along with sunny skies. Monday will be a bit warmer with temps into the 80's. Then record heat and humidity will come into the area for the rest of the week. And it will feel like well over 100 degrees for a few days next week as well.
