More Weekend Rain

Friday will start cold and dry but finish rainy and a bit warmer than today. Rain will fall heavily at times through Saturday along with gusty winds and a thunderstorm. It  will dry out by Sunday, but it will be colder and windy.

Tonight: Clear and cold. Low 27. 

Friday; Increasing clouds until 3 PM, then rain showers. High 50. SW wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Friday night : Showers. Lows around 40. SE wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Saturday: Showers with scattered thunderstorms. Highs in the low 60's. SE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH.

Saturday night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms early, then clearing. Lows in the upper 30's.

An Arctic Front

 An powerful arctic front will bring rain and snow squalls to the area along with gusty winds. And even a rumble of thunder is possible. Behind the front temps will fall and the wind will become gusty. Another storm is likely by Saturday.

Tonight: Rain showers with snow squalls. Low 30. Wind becoming NW at 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. 

Thursday; Mostly sunny and windy. High 40. NW wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. Wind chill values around 15 before 9 AM. 

Thursday night: Clear with lows in the upper 20's. 

Friday; Cloudy early, then rain late. Highs in the low 50's.

Forecast Update

 The sun will return on Wednesday along with highs in the  50's.  Then a powerful cold front will bring scattered rain and snow showers overnight Wednesday night. Red Sox opening day on Thursday will be cold and windy, but dry. More rain is likely by Saturday.

Mainly Rain

 A storm will bring mainly rain to the area overnight into Tuesday. However, it is possible some flakes mix in at times. Due to the clouds on Tuesday temps will be held in the low 40's. By Wednesday an arctic front may bring scattered snow squalls to the area. It looks cold and windy for Red Sox opening day on Thursday..

Tuesday; Scattered rain and snow showers .High 42. NW wind of 15-25 MPH.

Tuesday night: Clearing with lows around 30.

Weekend Update

 Rain and some wind will continue overnight before ending. Skies will clear for Sunday along with a gusty wind. And it now appears that the storm early next week will not be as powerful as once thought.

Tonight: Rain showers and windy. Near steady temps around 40. East wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. 

Sunday; Becoming mostly sunny and windy. High 57. West wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. 

Sunday night: Clear with lows in the mid 30's. 

Monday: Sunny with highs in the mid 50's. 

Tuesday; Showers possible. Highs in the upper 40's. 

Wednesday; More rain possible. Highs in the 40's. 

US Weather; Powerful tornadoes ripped through parts of the south on Friday. Leaving dozens dead and whole towns destroyed. More severe  weather is likely over the next couple of weeks as the spring season rolls on.

Weekend Storm

 Friday will be a cooler day with increasing sun. Then a storm will bring mainly rain to the area on Saturday. Although, a few sleet pellets or wet flakes can't be ruled out to start. The height of the storm will by Saturday night with rain and gusty winds.

Tonight: Any showers fade to mostly cloudy skies. Low 43. South wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Friday; Partly to mostly sunny with a high of 52. NW wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH. 

Friday night; Clouds gather again. Lows around freezing. North wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Saturday; Scattered rain, snow and sleet and rain until 1 PM, then rain. Highs around 40. East wind of 15-25 MPH. No snow or sleet accumulation expected. 

Saturday night : Rain. Temps holding around 40. East wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. 

Sunday; Clearing and windy. Highs around 50.

Monday; Sunny with highs in the 40's. 

US Weather: A rare tornado EF1 tornado hit the metro area of Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday. It caused major damage all over the area. Winds up to 110 MPH were recorded.

A front will bring scattered rain and a breeze to the area on Thursday. After a dry Friday a storm will bring a cold soaking rain by Saturday. It should dry out by Sunday.

Computer Crash

 Unfortunately, my computer crashed last week and I have been unable to blog.  I plan on returning to blogging on a more consistent basis. Now, after a great day today Wednesday will be another mostly sunny day with warm temps. A front will bring showers by Thursday and a bigger system is likely over the weekend.

Nor'easter Forecast

 A powerful nor'easter will hit the area Monday night through Wednesday morning. It will start as rain on Monday night but will change to heavy snow and fall very heavily through Tuesday night. And it now appears that it will bring healthy amounts of snow in the city. And the wind will gust to 60 MPH as well. The height of the storm will be Tuesday night.

Tonight: Cloudy with a low of 34. 

Monday; Cloudy with a high of 40. NE wind of15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. 

Monday night: Rain. Lows in the upper 30's. NE wind increasing to 20-30 MPH with gusts to 45 MPH. 

Tuesday; Rain in the morning, then snow in the afternoon. Temps falling into the low 30's. NE wind of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 60 MPH. 

Tuesday night:  Heavy snow and damaging winds. Lows in the upper 20's. North wind of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 60 MPH.

Nor'easter Ahead

 A powerful nor'easter will impact the area from Monday night into Wednesday. It will start as rain before changing to heavy snow. But, there is still a question on the track of the storm and that will determine how much snow we see here in the immediate Boston area. Plus, the wind could gust up to 60 MPH.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a low of 32. 

Sunday; Partly sunny with a high of 40.  NE wind of 15-25 MPH.

Sunday night: Increasing clouds with lows in the low 30's. 

Monday; Rain showers late. Highs in the low 40'.s 

Monday night; Rain and wind. Lows in the upper 30s. 

Tuesday: Rain in the morning, then snow in the afternoon. Very windy with temps falling into the low 30's by the end of the day.

Some Snow

 A strong system will grazes the area on Saturday. It will some flakes and drops to the region with little accumulation. Then after a break on Sunday and most of Monday a powerful nor'easter will impact the area with rain, snow and damaging winds. Stay tuned for further updates.

 Friday will be a nice day with sunny skies and above average temps. Then, a storm will graze the area Friday night into Saturday morning with some snow. After a break on Sunday a powerful nor'easter may impact the area.

Saturday; Snow showers in the morning then mostly cloudy n the afternoon. Highs in the mid 30's. Total snow amounts of a oating-1 inch expected.

Another Tough Forecast

 A powerful nor'easter will impact the region Friday night through the day on Saturday. It will bring heavy precip and strong winds. One possibility is that the snow will fall, but temps will be marginal and the snow may not stick. On the other hand if temps cool just a little more than modeled than a major snowstorm is possible-even in Boston. At this point I plan to take the middle ground with the expectation is that it could easily change.
