Dramatic Drop

 A cold front will come down the coast and dramatically drop our temps on Tuesday afternoon. Then a front will bring rain and gusty winds on Wednesday. More rain is possible late in the week.

Tonight: Partly cloudy and mild. Low 72. 

Tuesday; Partly to mostly cloudy with temps near 80 in the morning will fall to 55 by 6 PM. Wind changing to NE at 15-25 MPH. 

Tuesday night: Showers late. Lows in the low 50's NE wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Wednesday; Low clouds and fog with showers and thunderstorms. mist and drizzle. Temps holding in the mid 50's. 

Thursday; Showers likely. Highs in the mid 60's.

SPECIAL: 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season Forecast

 Another extreme  Hurricane season is expected this year. As water temps continue to run above normal-especially in the Gulf Of Mexico. And I expect landfalls along the East Coast as well. Last year here in New England we had several Tropical Systems impact us in different ways. This year, it seems we have an average chance of being impacted.

 Most of the long holiday weekend will be nice. However, a front will bring showers and storms to the area on Saturday. Behind the front less humid air will come back into the area.

Sunny Days

 Thursday will be another great day with sunny skies, low humidity and comfy temps. Then a front will bring showers  Friday night into Saturday. And it should dry out for the end of the Holiday weekend.

Forecast Update

 Great weather will continue for the next few days. On Wednesday it will be in the upper 60's in Boston and in the 70's inland. By Thursday the wind will increase and temps will rise into the 70's. Some rain does appear likely for part of the long holiday weekend.

 A hot weekend is in store as High Pressure takes control. The hottest day will be Sunday along with a chance for late day thunderstorms on Sunday as well.

Record Heat Ahead

 A hot weekend is in store as High Pressure sets up off the east coast. As temps will soar well into the 90's on both days. And the humidity will increase as well. A cold front will bring an end to the heat by Sunday night.

Cool and Dry

 Behind the front that brought the showers and storms  this evening, cooler and drier air will come into the area. Wednesday also seems nice before a shower threat by Thursday.

The Week Ahead

 A strong cold front will bring showers and storms Monday afternoon and evening. However, it now appears that the storms will weaken before reaching the Boston area. Behind the front cooler and refreshing air will come into New England.

Showers Sunday

 Showers will come through the area tonight into Sunday. And it now appears that Sunday will be a bit cooler than today. Then a powerful cold front could bring severe storms on Monday.

Tonight: Showers. Low 65. SW wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Sunday; Partly sunny with scattered showers.  Muggy with a  high of 75. West wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Sunday night: Clearing with lows in the upper 50's. 

Monday; Partly sunny until 3 PM, then scattered severe thunderstorms. Highs in the low 80's. Some storms may produce damaging winds, hail and isolated tornadoes.

Hot and Humid

 Saturday will be the hottest day of the year so far along with humidity. Then a front will bring scattered showers late on Saturday night into first thing Sunday morning. Then, skies will clear and temps will once again warm into the 80's.

Weekend Forecast

 Temps will continue to warm in the area on Friday, but another sea breeze will develop. Then Saturday will finally feature a land wind leading to near record heat. Sunday will also be hot  and humid before a cold front arrives by Monday.

Tricky Temp Forecast

Warm weather will finally move into New England over the next several days. However, the question along the coast is will a sea breeze develop. At this point a weak sea breeze will lead to cooler temps on Thursday and Friday before relaxing by the weekend.

Thursday; Becoming mostly sunny. Highs near 63 in Boston and 78 inland. NE wind of 10-20 MPH.

Friday;  Becoming sunny with highs in the low 70's in Boston and low 80's inland. NE wind of 10-20 MPH. 

Saturday; Partly sunny with a passing shower or thunderstorm. Humid with highs in the mid 80's.  South wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Sunday; Showers possible. Humid with highs  in the mid 80's. 

Harvey Leonard Retiring;  Harvey Leonard from Channel 5  is retiring in a few weeks. He is a great weather man and will be missed across the meteorological community. He is someone who I look up to to this day and I have the dream of being like Harvey. Finally, I did meet him a couple of times and I was in awe of his caring and polite nature. Thanks for all that you do! 

One More

 Clouds will come back into the area on Wednesday along with chilly temps. Then, Summer time warmth will finally arrive! As temps could rise into the 80's for several days-especially away from the coast.

 A nice stretch of weather is ahead as High Pressure slowly builds in. It will start out chilly, but gradually warm over the next several days.

 A powerful storm will graze the area over the next few days. It appears that showers are likely by Friday evening and the wind will increase as well. Then the nor'easter will bring a cold wind driven rain on Saturday mainly in Boston and points south. Mother's day now also looks cold and windy.

 A  weak area of low pressure will bring scattered showers to the area on Monday afternoon and evening. Then, yet another low pressure system will bring rain late Tuesday into Wednesday. It should dry out for the end of the week.

World Weather: India had their hottest April on record. For example, New Delhi had temps 9 degrees above normal! And almost every single day was at least 100 degrees!
