Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year everyone and thanks for checking out my blog, I plan to write as often as  I can throughout 2019. As for the weather a storm tonight will bring any wintry mix changing to rain. New Year's Day will be warm and very windy.

First Night Timeline

Clouds will increase on Monday ahead of our next storm. The storm will bring mainly rain to the Boston area for New Year's Eve/ The heaviest rain seems to be right around midnight. But, it should end by the morning. The first day of 2019 will be warm and dry.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Clear with a low of 28.

Monday; Mostly sunny in the morning, then increasing clouds in the afternoon. High  43. SW wind of 10-20 MPH,

First Night Timeline:

6 PM: Cloudy with a temp of 40 SE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH through the night.
8 PM: Rain arrives. Temps 38.

10 PM: Heavy rain .Temp 40.

Midnight: Happy New Year!; Rain with at temp of 42.

Weekend Forecast

Any rain will end this evening and it will remain warm overnight. A cold front will the cross the area on Saturday leading to falling temps. It will remain sunny and chilly on Sunday..

Mainly Rain

Clouds will increase on Thursday afternoon ahead of our next storm. The storm will bring mainly rain to the Boston area on Friday. However, it will likely start as a brief period of snow and sleet Friday morning. It should dry out for the weekend.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates and thanks for checking out my blog. The weather the next few days will be sunny and chilly. The next storm arrives by Friday and it looks like mainly rain.

Christmas Day; Mostly sunny with  a high of 37. NW wind of 15-25 MPH.

Snow Forecast

A clipper will bring snow to the area on Monday into Christmas Eve. It could amount to a coating to 2 inches in the Boston area. Then skies will clear for Christmas Day. It will remains cold and dry through mid week.

A powerful storm will bring heavy rain and damaging winds to the area  on Friday. The rain will arrive early in the morning and last all day. The height of the wind appears to be in the afternoon nad evening. And even a thunderstorm is possible.

Thursday will be the clam before the storm with sunny skies and above average temps. Then a powerful storm will bring heavy rains and damaging winds to the area on Friday. There is also a chance of thunderstorms as well.

Cold And Windy

Tuesday will be a cold and windy day along with sunny skies.. Then High Pressure will slide to out east leading to a mid week warmup. Rain will arrive by Friday.

Storm Update

Rain has arrived this evening and will gradually mix with snow late at night as temps slowly fall. By Monday morning the precip will end first thing in the morning.. Temps should  rise into the low 40's by the afternoon.  Then Tuesday should be cold and windy.

A Mix

A storm will bring a mix of rain and snow to the area Sunday afternoon into Monday morning. It will start out as rain in Boston before changing to snow late at night. The snow should last into Monday morning. Behind the storm cold air will come into the area.

Friday will be a warmer day with increasing clouds in the afternoon. It now appears that the rain an Saturday will slide to our south. But the storm on  Sunday has trended closer.

Monday and Tuesday will be cold and sunny days as High Pressure forces a storm out to sea. Then ocean effect snow is possible on Wednesday as a weak disturbance comes through. It should warm up for the end of the week.

A Cold Weekend

Cold air will continue to come into the northeast over the next few days. As temps on Saturday will fail to reach freezing. Temps will moderate a bit on Sunday and Monday before it turns colder again by Tuesday.

Colder air will come into the area over the next few days. However, the area of High Pressure will keep us dry for the rest of the week.

Precip may start as a brief period of freezing rain tonight NW of Boston as temps have fallen close to freezing. However, it should quickly change to rain. The rain should last through most of Sunday before tapering off late in the day. And the warm temps will extend into the day on Monday as well.
