Tropical Storm Florence

Florence has weakened to a Tropical Storm tonight. However, flooding rains will continue to spread inland. Over the next few days Florence will slow overt the SE. Eventually, it will track NE and pass right over New England on Tuesday leading to heavy rain  and gusty winds.

Hurricane Florence To Make Landfall

Hurricane Florence has lost some strength since yesterday. But it is still a powerful storm expected to make landfall in the Carolinas where a Hurricane Warning is in effect. The storm will then stall leading to flooding rains in the SE. Here in New England we will see rip currents and rough surf from the storm over the next few days.

Florence Update

Florence remains a major Hurricane on track to slam into the Carolinas on Thursday night with damaging winds greater than 100 MPH and feet of flooding rains. Anyone in the path of this storm should not take it lightly. Meanwhile. here in Boston showers are likely on Wednesday and Thursday before it dries out for the weekend.

Major Hurricane Florence

Major Hurricane Florence now has winds of 140 MPH SE of Bermuda. It is expected to track west or NW and make landfall as a powerful Category 4 Hurricane along with Carolina coastline on Thursday evening. Here in New England the only impacts appears to be rough surf and rip currents late this week.
