Snow Saturday?
Friday will clear out with a stiff NW wind as temps remain near normal. Then, a storm will pass south of the area on Saturday. At this point most of the moisture will remain south of us, however it may be close enough to bring a mix of wet snow and rain in the morning. More rain showers are possible on Sunday.

Back at College
I now have returned from Europe and am back at Plymouth State. After an amazing string of warm days, NW wind will bring down colder air for this week. While no major storms are in sight, it will be a change from what we are used to.

Temp Drop
A backdoor coldfront will come down from the north on Wednesday and then stall to our south. That allows cooler air will come into the area for the next few days. Temps near 60 midday on Wednesday will fall into the 40's by the evening. Temps will hold in the 40's thru Friday, before rebounding for St. Patricks Day weekend.

Boston Weather: With the snow total of 1.4 at Logan with this last storm, it pushes the grand total to 9.1 inches for the season. The least snowy winter on record of 1936-37 of 9.0 inches still stands.

Moving On
Scattered snow showers will diminish this evening as the storm heads out to sea. On Friday it will be mainly cloudy with temps holding in the 30's. The next storm will head to our west on Saturday-leading to a mainly rain event.

Midday Update
Rain has fallen in Boston today, but as the wind changes to the north it should change back to snow showers. This will make for a slippery commute in some areas. I am not expecting a ton of snow-maybe an inch on the grass at most.
Alerts: A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Boston until 6PM tonight.
